See Programs & FeesBOOK YOUR CONSULTATIONYes. It's important to understand that the key to getting rid of chronic low back pain involves eliminating your pain triggers. This means removing the postures, movements and loads that provoke your pain, and learning how to move in a way that doesn't provoke it. I can assess this and coach you online, as I have done with many clients previously (see testimonials). It's true that there are some parts of the assessment that can't be done online (e.g. testing your anterior-posterior shear stability by directly pressing on the spinous processes of your vertebrae), but there are proxys that can be used in combination with your personal history and your symptoms that provide information regarding this. Also, if you can have a family member or friend with you for 10 minutes of the assessment they can assist with certain movements, e.g applying traction to your spine. In my experience (and the experience of my clients), a thorough, personalised online assessment is much more helpful than typical generic treatment in person which usually targets your symptoms.
If you let me know what you think caused the flare-up and how your symptoms have changed, I'll advise you accordingly. I'll also adapt your program if necessary so you can work around the issue.
Not necessarily. Most of my clients have already had one done by the time they get to me. However, if you have no red flags (saddle anaesthesia, loss of control of bladder/bowel, etc.) or radiating symptoms (sciatica) then it may not be necessary. If we discover something during your assessment that doesn't fit the typical pattern then I may advise you to discuss this with your doctor who can decide whether you should get an MRI.
If you can be flexible with timings this isn't an issue. I've had numerous clients on the west coast of the US which has a 12-hour time difference to Dubai.
No, I am not covered by your insurance. I am a trainer, not a physical therapist, and, there is no billing code for a 3-hour McGill Method low back pain assessment. In general, clinics are incentivised to provide treatment for whatever is billable, irrespective of how effective that treatment is.
Some of my clients have been told that their only option is surgery. While this may certainly be true for some people, it is not true for others - even for those who have already tried physical therapy. If you have never undergone a thorough assessment that has clearly identified your pain triggers and taught you how to avoid provoking them, then you still haven't tried a proper conservative recovery plan.
Sure, in fact I often have clients in Dubai who do the assessment with me in person, then do the follow-up sessions online.

“I started training with Andy because I wanted to get back to playing Padel regularly. For a long time, my lower back pain would stop me from playing as often as I wanted. I had been stretching for almost two years, but it never really solved the problem.
After working with Andy for about two months, I’ve noticed a big difference. I can now play without pain, I recover faster, and my core feels much stronger. The exercises he recommended made a real impact, and I finally understand what movements actually help my back instead of making it worse.
Andy really knows what he’s doing. He explains things clearly and focuses on long-term solutions rather than quick fixes. I’m going to continue with the program he gave me - it’s been a huge help.”

“I went to see Andy a few months ago after suffering my third or fourth incident of a disk bulge.
He showed me how to strengthen all the muscles around the lower back and core and I’m finally back in the gym and starting to lift weights again.
I couldn’t be happier. Andy has given me tools that I will use for the rest of my life to help me overcome back issues that no one else has been able to help me with.”

“I was looking for a conservative way to manage lower back pain caused by a herniated disc. I found Andy through Instagram and began with a 3-hour assessment.
He created an 8-week program and met with me in person every two weeks to monitor progress and make changes. After following the program, my pain is now close to zero, my core is stronger, and my mobility has improved.
Andy also taught me subtle daily techniques — like how to pick things up or sit and stand without pain.
A true professional and expert in his field. Highly recommended.”
